Propositions
સ્થાન દર્શાવવા-
At - place - નિશ્ચિત સ્થળ દર્શાવે છે (સરનામાં માં નાનો એકમ - સોસાયટી , ગામડું નાનું શહેર વગેરે)
In - Place - મોટું સ્થળ કે સરનામાં મા મોટું એકમ દર્શાવે છે જેવા કે મોટા શહેર, રાજ્ય ,દેશ વિગેરે..
Ex. I live at botad in gujrat.
સમય દર્શાવવા-
At - નિશ્ચિત સમય કે ઘડિયાર નો સમય e.g. at seven O'clock , at midnight.
On - દિવસ દર્શાવે છે. E.g. on sunday , monday.
In - સમયગાળો દર્શાવે છે. E.g In January, In the morning.
By - સમય સુધીમાં , ત્યાં સુધીમાં દર્શાવે છે.
He has to return by 10.30 A.M.
In - ની અંદર e.g. in the room
Into - ની અંદર (ગતિ દર્શાવે છે) e.g. came into the room.
Between - બે ની વચ્ચે
E.g. between Ram &Shyam
Among -બે થી વધુની વચ્ચે
E.g. among three boys
Since - નિશ્ચિત સમય બિંદુ e.g. since birth , 1991.
For - સમયગાળો e.g. for a week , for 15 days.
By - ના દ્વારા ક્રિયા (ક્રિયાનો કરનાર)
With - ના થી/વડે ક્રિયા (ક્રિયાનું સાધન)
E.g. He was killed by them with the sword.
On - ના પર / ની ઉપર સપાટીને અડકીને
E.g. - On the table.
Above - સપાટીની ઉપરની તરફ
E.g. - Above the head.
Over - સપાટીને સમાંતર થઈને
E.g. Bridge over the river.
Before - પહેલા (સમયસૂચક શબ્દોની પહેલા)
E.g. before 5 years.
Ago - પહેલા (સમયસૂચક શબ્દોની પછી આવે છે)
E.g. 5 years ago.
Throughout - જીવન પર્યંત
E.g. throughout his life.
Agree With - ની સાથે સહમત (વ્યક્તિ સાથે સહમત)
Agree to - ની સાથે સહમત ( બાબત સાથે સહમત)
E.g. Do you agree with me to this agreement?
About - ના વિશે
- about your business.
Across - ને પર થઈને ( એક બાજુથી બીજી બાજુ પસાર થઈને)
E.g. across the river.
Beside - ની બાજુમાં e. g. - beside me.
Besides - તદુપરાંત, વધારેમાં e.g. what do you know besides drawing?
Except - ના સિવાય
E.g. All friends came except Rahul.
Died of - ના થી મૃત્યુ
E.g. He died of malaria.
Died for - ને માટે મૃત્યુ (for nation or noble cause)
E.g. - The soldier died for his nation.
