The Indian Criminal Code was first introduced to the Governor General in 1872-73. But that Oct. Approved in 1890. That is, the law came into force in 1860,As stated in Section 1 of this Act, this Act applies to all the states of India except the State of Jammu and Kashmir and as per Section 2, this Act applies to every person who is guilty of an offense committed in India. According to Article 361 of the Constitution of India, the President as well as the Governors of the States are exempted from civil and criminal proceedings. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, rank or nationality. This law does not apply to any foreigner who comes to India after committing a crime abroad.

Artificial individuals cannot commit such crimes.
